Rising Pune Supergiants have suffered another setback as their batsman Kevin Pietersen has been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament and will remain out of action till November.
The former England batsman, having come in at No3 and faced only one ball, retired after hurting his leg trying to take a single during Friday’s match between Rising Pune Supergiants and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He called for assistance straight away and was carried from the field.
The star batsman posted the message on his instagram account saying,”Over & out, India! Injuries are all part of the job! Horrible tear in my calf! Sad to be leaving a really great bunch of boys but looking forward to being back with my family! London bound for a summer off! Vacation till November! Bye for now! Lots of love, KP xxx.”
